6/3/06 (AgriMarket.Info)   -  In January this year Ukraine imported 11,120 tonnes of palm oil and the products for the cost of $5.9 million - down by 2,730 tonnes from December 2005, the customs data have shown.

The basic amounts of the oil were supplied from Indonesia (6,330 tonnes) and Malaysia (4,090 tonnes).

Since the start of the season (September) through the end of January Ukraine purchased 72,800 tonnes of the product for the worth of $36.72 million.

In 2004/05 MY (September to August), according to official statistics, Ukraine imported 200,700 tonnes of palm oils, up from 100,740 tonnes in 2003/04.
