Tariff value for soya oil down by USD 8, palm oil by USD 3

31/1/06 New Delhi, (New Kalara.com) - Government today reduced tariff value for crude soybean oil by eight dollar and crude palm oil by three dollar in its fortnightly revision for major edible oil imports.

The new tariff value for soyabean oil has been reduced by eight dollar per tonne to 484 dollar while the tariff value for crude palm oil has been reduced by three dollar to 412 dollar, said an official notification.

The tariff value for RBD palm oil has been brought down by three dollar to 427 dollar per tonne and palm oil (other) category was reduced by three dollar to 420 dollar.

Crude palmolein import tariff value would now be 434 dollar, lower by three dollar per tonne.

Similar, reduction took place for RBD palmolein which would now be 437 dollar from earlier 440 dollar per tonne.

The new tariff value for palmolein (others) category will now be 436 dollar as against earlier 439 dollar.

The revised values would become effective from January 31, 2006.
