China To Cancel Quota Control Over Import Of Soybean Oil

BEIJING, Dec 12 (Asia Pulse) - China will cancel the quota control and state trade management over the import of soybean oil, palm oil and rapeseed oil as of January 1, 2006, according to the Ministry of Commerce.

Starting from January 1, 2006, China will carry out automatic import permit license management over the soybean oil, palm oil (excluding palm hard fat) and rapeseed oil, according to the Foreign Trade Law of the People's Republic of China.

The import of soybean oil, palm oil and rapeseed oil may go through related import procedures according to the Automatic Import Permit Management Measures of Goods.

Related clauses concerning soybean oil, palm oil and rapeseed oil in the Interim Measures on Import Duty Quota Management of Agricultural Products issued earlier will be abolished correspondingly, said the Ministry of Commerce in a recent announcement.
