25/10/2022 (Pakistan Observer) - The domestic production of edible oil and vegetable ghee during first two months of current financial year grew by 6.4 percent and 6.6 percent respectively as compared to the output of the corresponding period of last year.

During the period from July-August 2022, over 81,897 metric tons of cooking oil domestically manufactured as against the manufacturing of 76,982 metric tons in same period last year, according to the quantum index of Large Scale Manufacturing Industries (LSMI) release by Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.

The local output of edible oil recorded about 2.9 percent growth as about 39,845 metric tons of the above mentioned commodity manufactured in August.—APP
