07.09.2021 (marketresearchtelecast.com) - PARIS, Sept 7 (Reuters) – European Union soy imports in the 2021/22 season that began in July fell to 2.46 million tonnes through Sept. 5 from 2.97 million tonnes at the same time. of the previous campaign, according to data published Tuesday by the European Commission.
Meanwhile, EU rapeseed imports in 2021/22 reached 692,309 tonnes, down from 1.01 million tonnes at the same time last year.
Imports of soybean meal in 2021/22 totaled 2.57 million tons compared to 3.28 million tons a year ago, while those of palm oil stood at 992,959 tons, a year-on-year drop from 1.29 million tons.
As of January 1, the European Commission data covers only the 27 EU countries, while previous figures also covered Great Britain.
