Edible Oil prices up on improved demand

The Hindu Business Line (28/05/2020) - Improved demand in palm oil and rise in palm future lifted soy and other oils with soya refined Indore (Ruchi) on Thursday rising to Rs 805 for 10 kg, soya refined (Avi & Vippy) was quoted at Rs 797 each, soy refined (Bajarang) - 802 for 10 kg each, soya refined Neemuch (MS & Dhanuka) ruled at Rs 788, soya refined MS Pachor - Rs 795, soy refined Mandsaur (Amrit) - Rs 788, while soya refined Kalapipal (Ambika) was quoted at Rs 800 for 10 kg respectively.

Soya solvent on the other hand ruled stable at Rs 760-65 for 10 kg.

Palm oil refined (Kandla) was quoted at Rs 695 for 10 kg, palm oil (Maharashtra) at Rs 745-49, cotton oil (Maharashtra) at Rs 800-Rs 804 for 10 kg, while cotton oil (Gujarat) ruled at Rs 760.

Groundnut oil (Indore) on the other hand was quoted at Rs 1,400-Rs 1,420. Mustard seeds (Nimar) on Thursday ruled at Rs 3,875-Rs 3,900 a quintal.

Weak availability of mustard seeds with crushers lifted plant delivery of mustard seeds for Jaipur line today to Rs 4,700-Rs 4,705 a quintal.The arrival of mustard seeds across the country today was recorded at 3.50 lakh bags.

Rajasthan led with 1.80 lakh bags, followed by UP with 65,000 bags, Madhya Pradesh - 30,000 bags, Gujarat, Haryana/Punjab - 15,000 bags each, while 45,000 bags were offloaded elsewhere in the country.
