Crude palm oil futures fall on profit-booking
06.08.2018 (India Today) - New Delhi, Aug 6 (PTI) Crude palm oil prices fell 0.37 per cent to Rs 589.50 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators booked profits at higher levels amid fall in demand at the spot market and on weaker trend overseas.
Besides, higher inventories also dragged CPO prices in futures trade.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for the current month eased by Rs 2.20, or 0.37 per cent, to Rs 589.50 per 10 kg in a business turnover of 279 lots.
The oil for delivery in September was trading lower by Rs 1.40, or 0.23 per cent, to Rs 586.80 per 10 kg in 63 lots.
Analysts said, profit-booking by speculators at prevailing levels and a fall in demand at spot market weighed on crude palm oil prices. PTI DPL KPS SHW ANS ANS
