Malaysian palm oil/Vegoils: Market factors to watch Wednesday April 25
25.04.2018 (The Star Online) - KUALA LUMPUR: The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil markets on Wednesday April 25.
FUNDAMENTALS
* Malaysian palm oil futures dipped on Tuesday evening, hitting their lowest in a week and tracking overnight losses in related edible oils such as soyoil on the U.S. Chicago Board of Trade and China's Dalian Commodity Exchange.
* U.S. wheat futures rallied on Tuesday, surging 2.4 percent on a bargain buying rebound after falling to their lowest in nearly three weeks early in the session.
* Oil prices were stable on Wednesday, but were below more than three-year highs reached the previous session as rising U.S. fuel inventories and production dragged on an otherwise bullish market.
MARKET NEWS
* A gauge of world stocks tumbled on Tuesday, erasing early gains as U.S. bond yields scaled the 3 percent threshold for the first time in four years, while oil prices reversed course after climbing above the $75 per barrel mark.
