14.03.2018 (The Star Online) - KUALA LUMPUR The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil markets on Wednesday March 14.

FUNDAMENTALS

* Malaysian palm oil futures rose on Tuesday evening, lifted by strength in rival edible oils and as demand expectations improved, traders said.

* U.S. corn futures climbed to a seven-month high on Tuesday, buoyed by robust export demand amid drought conditions in No. 3 global shipper Argentina, traders said.

* Oil fell more than 1 percent on concerns over rising U.S. production and as equities fell, erasing earlier gains driven in part by the firing of U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.

MARKET NEWS

* Asian shares eased on Wednesday amid fears of rising U.S. protectionism as President Donald Trump fired his Secretary of State, regarded as a moderate in his administration, and eyes hefty tariffs on Chinese imports.
