Malaysian palm oil/Vegoils: Market factors to watch Monday Nov 27
The Star Online (27/11/2017) - KUALA LUMPUR: The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil markets on Monday Nov 27.
FUNDAMENTALS
* Malaysian palm oil futures rose on Friday evening, marking a second session of gains in five, buoyed by stronger crude oil prices and a weaker ringgit.
* Chicago Board of Trade wheat futures fell to life-of-contract lows on Friday, pressured by disappointing weekly export sales data and ample global supplies, analysts said.
* U.S. oil prices hit their highest levels in more than two years on Friday after the continued shutdown of a pipeline running from Canada to the United States was expected to reduce supply
into a major storage facility.
MARKET NEWS
* Major global and U.S. stock indices set fresh all-time highs on Friday, buoyed by a bright business outlook and strong corporate earnings, while the economy's strength in continental Europe lifted the euro to a two-month high against the dollar.
