24/11/2017 (The Star Online) - KUALA LUMPUR: The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil markets on Friday Nov 24.

FUNDAMENTALS

* Malaysian palm oil futures fell on Thursday evening, charting a fourth decline in five sessions as the edible oil was weighed down by a stronger ringgit MYR= and the prospect of rising production, traders said.

* Chicago soybean futures approached a two-week high near $10 a bushel Wednesday on technical buying ahead of the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday, analysts said.   

* U.S. crude hit a two-year high in thin trade on Thursday as the shutdown of a major crude pipeline from Canada and a draw on fuel inventories pointed to a tightening market, despite rising output from U.S. producers.

MARKET NEWS

* Asian shares hovered below their 10-year peak on Friday while investors viewed Chinese shares with caution after their big fall the previous day.
