07/11/2017 (The Star Online) - KUALA LUMPUR: The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil markets on Tuesday Nov 7.

FUNDAMENTALS

* Malaysian palm oil futures slid on Monday evening, charting a third consecutive day of losses as sentiment turned bearish over expectations of rising production and end-stock levels.

 * U.S. soybean futures rose on Monday for the third time in four sessions on expectations that the government will cut its U.S. crop yield estimate in a monthly report this week and as soyoil prices rallied along with rising energy markets.

 * U.S. oil prices edged lower on Tuesday after posting the biggest gains in six weeks a day earlier, buoyed by moves by Saudi Arabia's crown prince to tighten his grip on power and a drop in U.S. drilling rigs.

MARKET NEWS

* Asian shares touched their highest in a decade on Tuesday, while oil prices edged down after surging to a more than two-year peak as Saudi Arabia's crown prince cracked down on corruption.
