The Star Online (03/11/2017) - KUALA LUMPUR: The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil markets on Friday Nov 3.

FUNDAMENTALS

* Malaysian palm oil futures dropped on Thursday, tracking weak soyoil prices and as traders awaited price forecasts from an industry conference.

* U.S. corn futures climbed to a one-week high on Thursday on bargain buying and improving export demand, although gains were limited by reports of higher-than-anticipated U.S. harvest yields.

* Oil markets firmed on Friday, supported by confident sentiment as OPEC-lead supply cuts help tighten the market, but analysts cautioned that the cuts would need to be extended to counter
rising U.S. output.

MARKET NEWS

* Asian share markets edged higher on Friday as investors gave a guarded reception to Republican plans for massive U.S. tax cuts, while welcoming the appointment of a centrist at the helm of the Federal Reserve.
