Malaysian palm oil/Vegoils : Market factors to watch Friday Oct 27
27/10/2017 (The Star Online) - KUALA LUMPUR: The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil markets on Friday Oct 27
FUNDAMENTALS
* Malaysian palm oil futures extended gains on Thursday evening, supported by strength in soyoil markets, favourable export numbers and end of year production concerns.
* U.S. wheat futures weakened for a second consecutive day on Thursday, with technical sellers pushing prices lower after the market failed to hold support at key chart points, traders said.
Brent crude closed at a 27-month high on Thursday as the market focused more on comments from Saudi Arabia about ending a global supply glut instead of an unexpected increase in U.S. crudeinventories and high U.S. production and exports.
MARKET NEWS
* The euro had its worst day against the dollar in 16 months on Thursday after the European Central Bank began weaning the euro zone off loose monetary policy, while U.S. Treasury yields
rose slightly, hurt by weak demand at an auction of 7-year notes.
