02/10/2017 (Reuters) - The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil markets.
FUNDAMENTALS
* Malaysian palm oil futures fell on Friday, tracking losses in overnight soyoil prices on the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT).
* Chicago wheat slid for a third consecutive session on Monday, hitting a one-week low under pressure from a forecast for higher production in the United States.
* Oil prices closed up on Friday after a rally in prices on geopolitical instability in Iraqi Kurdistan helped Brent make its strongest third-quarter price performance since 2004.
MARKET NEWS
* The euro took a brief knock in Asia on Monday as investors kept an anxious eye on an independence vote in Spain's Catalonia, although surprisingly strong economic news out of China and Japan offered support to equities and commodities.
