25/09/2017 (Reuters) - The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil markets.

FUNDAMENTALS

* Malaysian palm oil futures erased earlier gains to fall to a two-week low on Thursday evening, weighed down by weaker soyoil prices on the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) and as traders took profits ahead of a long weekend.

* U.S. soybean futures hit a six-week high on Friday on stepped-up export demand and uncertainty about the size of the U.S. crop, analysts said.

* Oil prices ended nearly 1 percent higher on Friday, close to their highest levels in months, as major producers meeting in Vienna said they may wait until January before deciding whether to extend output curbs beyond the first quarter.

MARKET NEWS

* U.S. Treasury and gold prices rose while the Japanese yen strengthened on Friday as a fresh exchange of barbs between North Korea and the United States fueled geopolitical concerns.
