Mixed Trend in Edible Oils
20/06/2017 (Hindu Business Line) - Barring palmolein which rose by ₹2, all other edible oils were unchanged on back of limited demand amid weak overseas futures. Malaysian palm oil futures close lower keeping domestic soya oil futures prices under pressure with thin volatility. Morale was steady. Progress of rain could be the main factor every one looking eagerly for the future trend of market. Ahead of GST stockiest / traders stay away from fresh bulk inventory buying. They have bought enough in last two weeks. During the day hardly 150-200 tonnes palmolein resold at ₹542-547. Demand for indigenous oils were lacking said sources.
Liberty’s rates for Palmolein Ex STC / Shapur were ₹554 / 555 for 5-30 July. Super palmolein at ₹575 for 5-30 July and Soyabean refined oil ex Shapur ₹640 for June.
Allana’s ratesfor Palmolein were ex Khapoli / IVP ₹552 / 555 for July. Soya refined oil ₹640 for July. Sunflower refined oil ₹665 for July.
Golden Agri’s rate for palmolein was ₹548 for June.
In Rajkot, groundnut oil was up at ₹1,430 (1,420) for Telia tin and remain steady ₹900 (900) for Loose (10 kg).
Malaysian crude palm oil July -17 futures close at MYR 2,639 (MYR 2,656) and August -17 ended at MYR2,531 (MYR 2,536).
On National Commodities and Derivatives Exchange Soyabean refined oil June -17 futures was ₹6,32.75 (₹630.40) and July-17 was at ₹637.70 (637.25).
On The Bombay Commodity Exchange spot rates (₹/10 kg) were: groundnut oil 940 (940), soya refined oil 625 (625), sunflower exp. ref. 595 (595), sunflower ref. 652 (652), rapeseed ref. oil 730 (730), rapeseed expeller ref. 700 (700), cottonseed ref. oil 640 (640) and Palmolein 545 (543).
