VEGOILS-Market Factors to Watch Jan 12
12/01/2017 (Reuters) - The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil markets.
FUNDAMENTALS
* Malaysian palm oil futures rose nearly 2 percent on Wednesday, tracking stronger rival oils on the Dalian Commodity Exchange and boosted by demand from China.
* U.S. wheat futures fell nearly 2 percent on Wednesday on forecasts for much-needed moisture in the southern Plains, analysts said.
* Oil prices jumped more than 2.5 percent on Wednesday, their biggest daily rise in more than a month, lifted as the U.S. dollar weakened following a news conference by U.S. President-elect Donald Trump and on news that Saudi Arabia cut exports to Asia.
MARKET NEWS
* U.S. Treasuries rallied across the board on Wednesday, while the dollar fell to one-month lows after President-elect Donald Trump, in a widely-awaited press briefing, failed to provide clarity on future fiscal policies.
