04/01/2017 (Hindu Business Line) - Edible oils ruled steady barring palmolein and rapeseed oil, which increased by ₹4 and ₹10 per 10 kg each, tracking lower demand amid volatile overseas futures. Sources said physical activities were limited as stockists stayed away.

Refineries kept their prices unchanged unable to have fresh volume. Liberty’s rates: palmolein ₹630, super palmolein ₹651 and soyabean refined oil ₹725. Allana traded palmolein at ₹633, soya refined oil ₹720 and sunflower refined oil ₹715. At Rajkot, groundnut oil telia tin was up at ₹1,540 (1,530) and loose (10 kg) at ₹975 (970). BCE spot rates (₹/10 kg): groundnut oil 1,010 (1,010), soya ref. 710 (710), sunflower exp. ref. 660 (660), sunflower ref. 710 (710), rapeseed ref. 840 (830), rapeseed exp. ref. 810 (800), cottonseed ref. 690 (690) and palmolein 620 (616).
