10/01/2017 (Hindu Business Line) - Edible oils prices ruled mixed on back of slack demand amid firm futures. On the BCE, groundnut oil declined by ₹10, cotton oil and palmolein rose by ₹2 per 10 kg each. Activities were limited with thin volumes but firm overseas futures kept domestic market cautious and steady. Source said as stockists stayed away from fresh bulk buys the market remained low. Local refineries kept their rates unchanged. Liberty’s rates: palmolein ₹630, super palmolein at ₹651 and soyabean refined oil ₹725. Ruchi traded sunflower oil at ₹707.50.
Golden Agri traded palmolein at ₹631. At Rajkot, groundnut oil telia tin was up ₹10 to ₹1,520 and loose (10 kg) higher by ₹5 to ₹965. BCE spot rates (₹/10 kg): groundnut oil 1,010 (1,020), soya ref. 710 (710), sunflower exp. ref. 660 (660), sunflower ref. 708 (710), rapeseed ref. 830 (830), rapeseed exp. ref. 800 (800), cottonseed ref. 692 (690) and palmolein 617 (615).
