23/11/2016 (Bernama) - With reference to the 2015 Auditor General Report, we take serious note of the findings regarding the Cooking Oil Stabilization Scheme (COSS).

2. The cooking oil quota has been frozen since 8 June 2016. Since then no new quota has been issued to date. During my five months in the office, I always ensured that the Ministry gives full assistance to Jabatan Audit Negara throughout the auditing process. The Ministry is committed to uphold transparency, integrity and good governance.

3. The ministry will continue to give full cooperation with Public Account Committees (PAC) and other related authorities on this matter. If there is any irregularities or wrongdoings involved, strict actions will be taken.

4.  Since my appointment as the Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities in July 2016, measures have been taken to further enhance not only the management of the ministry, but also the effectiveness of the policy delivery.
