Cooking Oils Flat on Slack Buying

26/10/2016 (Hindu Business Line) - Barring cotton refined oil which lost ₹15/10 kg, all other oils remained steady on slack demand amid weak futures.

Futures were bearish tracking lower close of Malaysian palm oil and weak Chicago projection. Sources said on back of weak domestic and overseas reports, activities were limited.

Local refineries kept their rates unchanged. Liberty’s rates: palmolein ₹585, super palmolein ₹630 and soyabean refined oil ₹680.

Allana traded palmolein at ₹585, soya refined oil ₹680 and sunflower refined oil ₹735.

At Rajkot, groundnut oil ruled steady with telia tin at ₹1,380 and loose (10 kg) at ₹875.

BCE spot rates (₹/10 kg): groundnut oil 960 (960), soya ref. 670 (670), sunflower exp. ref. 665 (665), sunflower ref. 725 (725), rapeseed ref. 860 (860), rapeseed exp. ref. 830 (830), cottonseed ref. 715 (730) and palmolein 582 (582).
