18/10/2016 (Associated Press of Pakistan) - Four ships C.V HS Wagner, C.V MSC Busan, M.V Thorco Aurora and M.T Gemini Gas carrying containers, project cargo and LPG were allotted berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively on Sunday.

Meanwhile three more ships C.V MSC Leanne, C.V Al-Manamah and M.T Al-Salam-II with containers and diesel oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy remained at the prot at 60% on Sunday where a total of nine berths were engaged by ships namely C.V HS Wagner, C.V MSC Busan C.V Hermes, M.V Thorco Aurora, M.V Lady-Z, M.T Feng Hai-II, M.T Gemini Gas, M.T M.Gas and m.T Karachi to load/ofload containers, project cargo soya bean seeds, palm oil, LPG and Furnace oil respectivley during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 103,046 tonnes, comprising 77,472 tonnes import cargo and 25,574 tonnes exprot cargo inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2,379 containers TEUs)(1,033 imports TUEs & 1,379 TUEs exports) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.

Four ships C.V HS Wagner, C.V Hermes, M.V Thorco Aurora and M.T Karachi sailed out to sea on Monday mornign and another ships Feng Hai-II is expected to sail on same day afternoon.

Three ships C.V MSC Leanne, C.V Al-Manamah and M.T Globe Tanya carrying containers and LPG are expected to tkae berths at Container Terminal and SSGC LPG T erminal respectively on Monday, while two more container ships Maersk Detroit and Al-Khor are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Tuesday.
