VEGOILS-Market Factors to Watch Oct 10
10/10/2016 (Reuters) - The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil markets.
FUNDAMENTALS
* Malaysian palm oil futures reversed gains made earlier in the day to fall on Friday evening, weighed down by expectations of rising output and profit taking despite a weaker ringgit, which lifted the market earlier in the day.
* U.S. corn and soybean futures weakened on Friday on forecasts for dry weather in the Midwest that will allow farmers to pick up the pace of what is expected to be a record harvest of both crops, traders said.
* Oil prices fell more than 1 percent in early trading on Monday over doubts that an OPEC-led plan to cut output to rein in a global fuel supply overhang would be supported by other producers, including Russia.
MARKET NEWS
* Asian shares crept higher and the Mexican peso jumped on Monday as odds of a victory by Republican nominee Donald Trump for the U.S. presidential bid widened just hours before a debate with Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.
