Meizan-Malaysian Palm Oil Shera Rondhonshilpi-2016 Kicks Off
19/09/216 (MENAFN) - In a bid to hunt culinary talents from across the country and recognise them at the national level, entries are invited from the interested participants for the TV Reality Show Meizan-Malaysian Palm Oil Shera Rondhonshilpi 2016.
The Reality Show is being sponsored by Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC) and Meizan brand fortified palm olein of Bangladesh Edible Oil Limited (BEOL). The programme is presented by the country's popular TV channel ATN Bangla and leading tourism and aviation fortnightly The Bangladesh Monitor. Total 13 episodes of the reality show will be telecast in ATN Bangla during peak hours at night.
To formally launch the programme, a press conference was organised on September 1 at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel, Dhaka. Kazi Wahidul Alam, Editor, The Bangladesh Monitor, AKM Fakrul Alam, Regional Manager, Malaysian Palm Oil Council, Shoeb Md Asaduzzaman, Head of Sales and Marketing Bangladesh Edible Oil Limited, Nawazish Ali Khan, Advisor (Programme) and M Shamsul Huda, Advisor Sales and Marketing, ATN Bangla addressed the press conference, among others.
Each interested culinary artist needs to submit his/her entry by September 30. Each entry should contain a recipe of Bangladeshi main dish for four adult people, prticipant's passport size photo, detailed information about the participant including division, from which he/she intends to compete. One participant may send more than one entry.
A Jury Committee comprising culinary experts, nutritionists, celebrity chefs will select 7 participants from each of the division of the country. Participants of each Division will compete among themselves. Two winning participants from each divisional competition will move to the next round. A total of 14 participant divided in two groups will participate in this round. Three Participants from each group will be selected for the next Elimination Round. During the following rounds two participants will be eliminated (one in each round) leaving top four to compete in the Grand Finale.
The Chef of the Year, First and Second Runner-ups will receive cash award along with other attractive prizes. In addition, one contestant will be honoured with "Prof Siddiqua Kabir Trophy" for best nutrition knowledge. Winners of Divisional competitions will receive crests and other gifts. There will be attractive prizes for all the participants of the reality show.
