VEGOILS-Market Factors to Watch Aug 30
30/08/2016 (Reuters) - The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil markets.
FUNDAMENTALS
* Malaysian palm oil futures fell on Monday evening, hitting a two-week low and a third straight session of declines due to weaker crude oil prices and a technical correction.
* U.S. wheat futures fell for a sixth consecutive session to hit a new 10-year low on Monday, as ample global stocks and a regulatory clamp-down from the world's largest buyer of the grain dragged on prices.
* Oil prices settled down more than 1 percent on Monday, snapping two consecutive days of gains, on renewed concerns about an oil glut, a stronger dollar and expectations that Nigerian rebels will stop hampering that country's crude output.
MARKET NEWS
* U.S. stock markets climbed on Monday while European share markets slipped in the wake of comments by top Federal Reserve officials that bolstered expectations for an interest rate hike by the U.S. central bank this year.
