VEGOILS-Market Factors to Watch June 30
30/06/2016 (Reuters) - The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil markets.
FUNDAMENTALS
* Malaysian palm oil futures fell to a seven-month low on Wednesday, dragged down by poor fundamentals and a stronger ringgit.
* U.S. wheat futures fell on Wednesday, extending their decline under pressure from the ongoing harvest of a bountiful crop in the Plains and the Midwest which threatens to add to a glut of supplies that is largely being shunned by overseas buyers.
* Oil prices surged 4 percent on Wednesday, with Brent settling above the psychological $50 a barrel mark, after a larger-than-expected drawdown in U.S. crude inventories.
MARKET NEWS
* Asia stocks rose on Thursday, tracking an overnight rally on Wall Street, while the safe-haven Japanese yen retreated as global markets regained a semblance of calm after last week's Brexit shock.
