08/04/2016 (Hindu Business Line) - Edible oils market ruled firm on back of higher physical demand amid firm futures. However, on the BCE, barring soyabean oil which declined by ₹8/10 kg as refineries reduced rates, all other edible oils were unchanged. Malaysian palm oil futures closed lower while domestic soya oil futures on NCDEX remain flat.

Liberty was quoting Palmolein ₹610/₹611 ex Ghatkopar / Shapur for April, Super palmolein ex JNPT ₹621 for April. Soyabean refined oil ex Shapur ₹655 for April.

Ruchi was quoting Palmolein ex Patalganga ₹612 and ex JNPT ₹607 for April. Soyabean refined oil ₹645 for April. Sunflower refined oil ₹745 for April.

Allana was quoting Ex Khopoli Palmolein ₹614 for 25April and Ex JNPT ₹611. Soya refined oil ₹655 for 25 April. Sunflower refi. oil ₹760 up to 15 May.

At Rajkot Groundnut oil Telia tin rule flat at ₹1720 (₹.1720) and Loose (10 kgs) was ₹1100 (₹1100). Soyabean arrivals in Madhya Pradesh reduced to about 10000 – 11000 bags due to Amavashya. Soyabean prices increase to ₹3900 – ₹4000 ex Mandi and ₹4000 – ₹4100 for Plant delivery. Soya refined oil was ₹650 – ₹655.

On National Commodities and Derivatives Exchange Soyabean refined oil April-16 futures was ₹660.00 (₹659.75) and May-16 was at ₹670.00 (670.70).

Malaysian crude palm oil futures May - 16 settled at MYR2679 (MYR 2681) and June-16 ease to MYR 2696 (MYR 2708).

On The Bombay Commodity Exchange spot rates (₹/10 kg) were: groundnut oil 1120 (1120), soya refined oil 642(650), sunflower exp. ref. 695 (695), sunflower ref. 745 (745), rapeseed ref. oil 845 (845), rapeseed expeller ref. 815 (815), cottonseed ref. oil 660 (660) and Palmolein 602 (602).
