VEGOILS-Market Factors to Watch Jan 29
29/01/2016 (Reuters) - The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil markets.
FUNDAMENTALS
* Malaysian palm oil futures fell on Thursday after rising to a 20-month high earlier in the day, giving up gains on the back of a stronger ringgit.
* U.S. soybean futures tumbled on Thursday, with the most-active March contract down 1.6 percent, the largest drop for soybeans in more than a month, after exporters canceled U.S. soybean sales to China.
* U.S. crude oil futures extended gains on Friday to take their weekly rise to more than 4 percent on hopes of a global deal between oil-producing countries to help tackle a growing supply glut.
MARKET NEWS
* Asian shares got off to a tentative start on Friday after oil cobbled together a third session of gains and markets wagered U.S. interest rates would not be rising much this year, if at all.
