Vegoils: Market Factors to Watch Tuesday Jan 26
26/01/2016 (Reuters) - The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil markets on Tuesday Jan 26.
FUNDAMENTALS
* Malaysian palm oil futures rebounded on Friday from a near one-week low in the previous session, supported by expectations of lower output and as traders covered their short positions ahead of a long holiday weekend. Markets were closed on Monday.
* U.S. wheat futures climbed to a one-week high on Monday on short-covering and concerns about the possibility that Russia might limit exports, traders said.
* U.S. crude futures dropped back below $30 a barrel in Asian trading on Tuesday, extending a near 6 percent fall made in the previous session, amid news that Iraq's output reached a record high last month.
MARKET NEWS
* A renewed slump in oil prices due to a persistent global supply glut hurt U.S. and European stock markets on Monday and weighed on the dollar following a rebound in those sectors late last week.
