15/01/2016 (Reuters) - The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil markets.

FUNDAMENTALS

* Malaysian palm oil futures fell on Thursday to reverse its morning session of gains as demand for the vegetable oil wanes on slowing exports.

* U.S. wheat fell for the second straight day on Thursday, pressured by technical selling, ample global supplies, lackluster demand for U.S. shipments and dragged by Paris futures which hit a contract low early in the session.

* Oil rebounded on Thursday, snapping an eight-day rout, as investors covered short positions but the market settled not far from 12-year lows on worries Iran may add barrels to a glutted global market sooner than expected.

MARKET NEWS

* Asian stocks won a temporary reprieve on Friday after oil prices snapped their eight-day rout, helping to lift battered energy shares even as investors remained on edge as they looked for signs of stability in China's economy and its volatile markets.
