HF Biomass, KESEDAR Sign Mou For RM20 Million Rural Electrification Project
09/12/2015 (Bernama) - HF Biomass Energy Sdn Bhd and KESEDAR Perkilangan Sdn Bhd today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to undertake a RM20 million Rural Electrification Project through Renewable Energy from Biomass in Gua Musang, Kelantan.
"Under the agreement, the companies will collaborate to provide electricity for KESEDAR palm oil mill as well as the rural areas in Gua Musang," said Senior Vice-President of Strategic Impact Projects of Agensi Inovasi Malaysia, Timothy Ong Wye Ern.
He told Bernama this on the sidelines of International Biomass Conference Malaysia 2015 here today.
HF Biomass Chief Executive Officer, C. Dinesh, and KESEDAR Chairman, Zawawi Othman, signed the MOU.
Global Green Synergy and China-based Umore Group also signed an MoU on the Collaboration of International Cleantech Transfer and Investment Congress at the event today.
The MOU aimed to look for suitable technologies from China for commercialisation purposes.
Global Green Chief Operating Officer, Stephen Lim, and Umore Group Managing Director, Charles Tsao, signed the MoU.
Also present were Minister of International Trade and Industry, Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed, and Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, Datuk Mah Siew Keong.
