Edible Oils Gain on Bulk Buying

14/09/2015 (Hindu Business Line) - Edible oils market witnessed a higher volume on Friday as stockists continued fresh buying ahead of Ganeshotsav ignoring weak Malaysian palm oil futures.

Vikram global commodities quoted ₹465 for Malaysian super palm. Liberty was quoting palmolein at ₹440 ex JNPT, super palmolein ₹480 and soyabean refined oil ₹573. Ruchi traded palmolein ₹442, soyabean refined oil ₹565, sunflower refined oil ₹710-715. Allana’s rates: palmolein ₹442, super palmolein ₹480, soya refined oil ₹572 and sunflower oil ₹725.

In Saurashtra-Rajkot, groundnut oil telia was ₹1,740 (1,750) and loose (10 kg) was at ₹1,125 (1,125).

BCE spot rates (₹/10 kg): groundnut oil 1,100 (1,100), soya ref. oil 565 (568), sunflower exp. ref. 660 (660), sunflower ref. 715 (715), rapeseed ref. oil 890 (890), rapeseed exp. ref. 860 (860), cottonseed ref. oil 615 (615) and palmolein 440 (436).
