27/07/2015 (Reuters) - The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil markets.
FUNDAMENTALS
* Malaysian palm oil futures inched lower on Friday, falling for a third straight session as quiet trading continued following the Muslim fasting month holiday period.
* U.S. corn futures posted their biggest weekly decline in a year on improving prospects in the Midwest during the crop's key growth phase, raising expectations for a bumper harvest.
* Brent and U.S. crude futures settled on Friday at their lowest since March and posted their fourth straight weekly decline as weak economic data from China and a rise in U.S. oil drilling rigs applied pressure.
MARKET NEWS
* Global equity markets dropped on Friday and copper fell to a six-year low as weaker-than-expected data from China and the euro zone exacerbated concerns over global economic growth.
