18/05/2015 (Reuters) - The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil markets on Monday May 18.

FUNDAMENTALS
* Malaysian palm oil futures on Friday eased further from 5-week highs hit earlier in the week, although strong export data from the world's No.2 producer of the edible oil helped prices post a second straight weekly gain.
* U.S. wheat prices fell on Friday in a technical setback from a one-month high and a 7 percent surge a day earlier, traders said. Corn and soybeans also eased as U.S. crop prospects remained bright amid generally favorable weather in the Midwest.
* Brent rebounded from Friday's early weakness while U.S. crude held to losses as traders and investors debated whether oil's rally over the past month and a half should continue amid stubbornly high supplies.

MARKET NEWS
* Treasury yields dropped and the dollar eased on Friday following a stabilization in European government bonds and another batch of weak U.S. data that raised expectations the Federal Reserve will need to wait longer to hike interest rates.
