JAKARTA, May 14 Asia Pulse - Indonesia hopes to expand exports of crudepalm oil (CPO) to South Korea.

The Indonesia-Korea Economic Cooperation Committee (Inkorecom) willfacilitate exports of CPO to South Korea, a joint statement by Inkorecomand Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) said.

CPO will be a new commodity exported by Indonesia to South Korea,Inkorecom chairman Soy Martua Pardede said.

In the past five years there has been no record of CPO exported to SouthKorea.

Indonesia is the world's second largest producer of CPO after Malaysia.

Meanwhile, chairman of the association of palm oil companies (Gapki) DeromBangun said he was pleased with the possibility of expanding market toSouth Korea.
