Palm Oil Stocks Jumps 7.02 Per Cent In March
13/04/2015 (Bernama) - Malaysia's palm oil stocks, output and exports roused in March.
The Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) said total palm oil stocks increased by 7.02 per cent to 1.87 million tonnes during the month from 1.74 million tonnes in February.
Of this, processed palm accounted for 958,156 tonnes while that of crude palm oil (CPO) stood at 907,555 tonnes, MPOB said in its monthly statistics today.
In terms of production, CPO output rose 33.27 per cent to 1.49 million tonnes against 1.12 million tonnes in February while that of palm kernel increased by 35.78 per cent to 379,249 tonnes from 279,309 tonnes previously.
Meanwhile, palm oil exports rose by 21.52 per cent to 1.18 million tonnes in March from 972,646 tonnes in February.
Exports of oleochemical increased by 5.36 per cent to 232,060 tonnes while that of biodiesel declined by 96.78 per cent to 824 tonnes.
