18/02/2015 (The Star) - The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil markets on Wednesday Feb 18.

FUNDAMENTALS
* Malaysian palm oil slipped on Tuesday, giving up some of last session's gains and falling for a fifth day out of seven on demand worries and position squaring
ahead of the long weekend.
* U.S. soybeans climbed to a one-month peak on Tuesday, lifted by a 3 percent spike in soymeal futures and data showing near-record domestic crushings of the
beans in January, traders said.
* Oil closed up after a weak start on Tuesday, with Brent crude rising to a 2015 high of $63 a barrel as short-covering returned to a market depressed earlier by
worries about euro zone stability.

MARKET NEWS
* The euro rebounded on Tuesday and global equity markets recovered to trade
slightly higher on signs Greek banks will continue to receive emergency funding
despite a breakdown in debt talks between Athens and euro zone finance
ministers.
