VEGOILS-Market Factors to Watch Dec 29
29/12/2014 (Reuters) - The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil markets.
FUNDAMENTALS
* Malaysian palm oil futures hit their highest in over a month on Friday, notching their biggest weekly gain in eight weeks as fears of floods disrupting supplies in the world's second-largest producer outweighed earlier losses.
* U.S. wheat futures on Friday continued to decline from seven-month highs reached last week as Russia made an anticipated announcement to restrict exports, while soybean futures climbed.
* Oil prices fell Friday, tumbling as the dollar strengthened and as a supply glut in top consumer, the United States, trumped worries about falling production from Libya.
MARKET NEWS
* U.S. stocks pushed higher on Friday, with the Dow and S&P 500 both closing at record highs, while oil and natural gas fell on worries of a supply glut and on mild U.S. weather.
