11/12/2014 (Bernama) - Malaysia's palm oil stocks rose 5.16 per cent to 2.27 million tonnes, at end-November 2014, from 2.16 million tonnes recorded the previous month.

The Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) said crude palm oil (CPO) stocks increased 9.09 per cent to 1.3 million tonnes while that for processed palm oil grew a meager 0.34 per cent to 975,144 tonnes for the month under review.

Palm kernel stocks slipped 17.56 per cent to 165,193 tonnes while crude palm kernel oil decreased 10.85 per cent to 181,374 tonnes.

Processed palm kernel oil stocks reduced 10.76 per cent to 133,363 tonnes in November while that for palm kernel cake stocks eased 1.60 per cent to 378,055.

MPOB said the CPO production in November declined 7.52 per cent to 1.75 million tonnes from 1.89 million tonnes the previous month.

Palm kernel production was down 8.43 per cent to 430,391 tonnes while crude palm kernel oil output was 1.02 per cent lower at 215,630 tonnes and palm kernel cake production dropped 0.97 per cent to 238,828 tonnes.

Palm oil exports fell 6.11 per cent to 1.51 million tonnes in November 2014 compared to October while palm kernel oil exports fell 2.35 per cent to 120,413 tonnes.

Biodiesel exports advanced 1,285.46 per cent to 22,753 tonnes.

CPO imports in October declined 17.12 per cent to 53,084 tonnes while that of processed palm oil rose 142.33 per cent to 45,856 tonnes.
