Kesedar To Complete Oil Palm Replanting Programme Next Year
10/12/2014 (Bernama) - The Kelantan South Development Authority (Kesedar) will complete the programme to replant 1,300 hectares of oil palm next year, said its general manager, Datuk Mohd Arshad Ismail.
Mohd Arshad said since the launch of the programme in 2006, Kesedar has replanted 9,000ha.
"The tender to replant the 1,300ha has been issued and the successful companies will be asked to undertake the job as quickly as possible," he said after the launch of oil palm replanting programme in Meranto here today.
He said the programme was supposed to be completed in 2010 but was delayed due to various factors, including money woes.
The 2,122 settlers involved in the scheme would be given a cost of living allowance of RM1,000 a month, he said.
