June Palm Oil Stocks And Output Up, Exports Lower

KUALA LUMPUR, July 12 (Bernama) -- Malaysian palm oil stocks rose 15.85percent to 1.210 million tonnes in June as against 1.045 million tonnes inthe preceding month, says the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB).

Out of this, crude palm oil (CPO) stocks stood at 578,797 tonnes, up by14.85 percent from 503,980 tonnes in May.

Palm kernel stocks increased by 6.84 percent to 96,717 tonnes from 90,522tonnes in May, while crude palm kernel oil fell 2.06 percent to 82,790tonnes from 84,532 tonnes in May.

Meanwhile, CPO output in June was higher by 6.41 percent to 1.169 milliontonnes from 1.099 million tonnes.

For peninsular Malaysia, the CPO output rose 8.39 percent to 721,451tonnes from 665,617 tonnes in May.

The palm kernel output edged up 5.03 percent to 297,738 tonnes from May's283,484 tonnes, while the crude palm kernel oil output was up by 4.84percent at 132,477 tonnes from 126,367 tonnes the month before.

Based on export figures as of today, June dropped by 6.86 percent to886,376 tonnes from 951,699 tonnes in May.
