18/10/2014 (Hindu Business Line) - Spot edible oils market ruled mixed on Friday, tracking thin volatility in domestic futures and rebound in crude palm oil prices in Malaysia. On the Bombay Commodity Exchange, indigenous oils rose by ₹5 and ₹2 for 10 kg each. Rapeseed oil lost ₹3.
Vikram Global Commodities (P) Ltd, Chennai, quoted ₹535 for October delivery of Malaysian super palm. Liberty was quoting palmolein at ₹498-500, super palmolein ₹530 and soyabean refined oil ₹612. Ruchi traded palmolein for ₹501, soyabean refined oil ₹610 and sunflower refined oil ₹620. Allana was quoting palmolein for ₹510, super palmolein ₹535, soyabean refined oil ₹610 and sunflower oil ₹630.
In Saurashtra-Rajkot, groundnut oil Telia tin was up ₹10 to ₹1,315 and loose (10 kg) was ₹835 (₹830).
BCE spot rates (₹/10 kg): groundnut oil 865 (860), soya refined oil 605 (605), sunflower exp. ref. 565 (565), sunflower ref. 625 (625), rapeseed ref. oil 712 (715), rapeseed expeller ref. 682 (685), cottonseed ref. oil 632 (630) and palmolein 500 (500).
