25/08/2014 (Bernama) - United Plantations Bhd's pre-tax profit for the second quarter ended June 30, 2014 fell to RM63.02 million from RM75.58 million in the corresponding period last year.

Revenue, however, rose to RM247.82 million from RM241.81 million previously, it said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia today.

"The decrease in the pre-tax profit was mainly due to lower production and higher production costs of crude palm oil and palm kernel," it said.
