Sime Darby's Share Rises On Shorlisting For RM3 Billion Stake Acquisition
09/07/2014 (Bernama) - Sime Darby Bhd's share on Bursa Malaysia rose this morning after being shortlisted in the bid for a 49 per cent stake in New Britain Palm Oil Ltd.
As at 11.31 am, the counter rose three sen to RM9.69 after opening at RM9.67, with 2.8 million shares changing hands.
A news report yesterday said Sime Darby, along with Felda Global ventures Holdings Bhd (FGV) and Singapore-listed Wilmar International Ltd, had been shortlisted from a list of seven potential bidders, for the RM3 billion stake in London-listed New Britain Palm Oil held by Kulim (M) Bhd.
