19/10/2013 (The Hill) - A major palm oil producer hasn’t given up trying to reverse a preliminary 2012 Environmental Protection Agency finding that biofuels produced from palm oil don’t meet the greenhouse gas standards of the federal biofuels mandate.

The U.S. arm of Wilmar International, a major palm oil producer, spent $20,000 on third-quarter lobbying on the topic, according to a newly filed disclosure document. The lobbying firm Van Ness Feldman has been representing them since 2012.

But a trio of other palm oil companies and groups — the Malaysian Palm Oil Council, the Indonesian Palm Oil Board and Neste Oil — have parted ways with lobbying giant Holland & Knight, filings show.
