Kuala Kangsar MP is MPOB Chairman

09/10/2013 (The Sun) - Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) has appointed Datuk Wan Mohammad Khair-il Anuar Wan Ahmad (pix) as its chairman effective Sept 11, 2013, replacing Tan Sri Shahrir Abdul Samad.
In a statement today, Wan Mohammad said his vision is to enhance the competitiveness of the local oil palm industry at the global level, apart from empowering the development of smallholders and small- and medium-sized businesses, and encouraging bumiputera participation in the industry.
Prior to his appointment as MPOB chairman, Wan Mohammad served as the Umno treasurer and Youth Exco (2000 – 2004), a board member of the Rubber Industry Smallholders' Development Authority and the Commercial Vehicles Licensing Board as well as was a member of the Kuala Kangsar Municipal Council.
