Seven Countries Participate in Palm Oil Exhibition in Medan
03/10/2013 (Jakarta Post) - As many as 90 companies from seven countries are participating in a three-day palm oil industry exhibition in Indonesia, which starts on Wednesday in Medan, North Sumatra.
Fireworks Indonesia president director, Susan Tricia, as the organizing committee of the event, said the exhibition showcased various sophisticated technologies, brought by palm oil companies both from Indonesia and abroad, which could lead to more effective and efficient production in palm oil factories.
She said the exhibition could hopefully become a reference point for new technology for palm oil industry players.
"The exhibition aims to showcase the latest developments within the palm oil industry,” said Susan in her opening remarks of the exhibition held in Santika Premiere Dyandra Hotel and Convention, Medan, on Wednesday.
Seven countries participating in the fifth edition of the exhibition are China, Germany, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan.
One of the important programs held in conjunction with the exhibition is the International Palm Oil Conference (IIPOC) 2013. Several competent speakers both from Indonesia and abroad are participating in the conference themed “Revealing the new chapter in the world’s largest palm oil industry”. (ebf)
