Croda Commended for Sustainable Palm Oil Certification
28/09/2013 (CosmeticsDesign-Europe.com) - Global chemicals manufacturer Croda has been commended by the RSPO for attaining a certification to handle sustainable palm oil at their manufacturing facility in the UK.
The certification will allow cosmetics manufactures to advertise their products as containing sustainable palm oil.
RSPO secretary general Darrel Webber commented: “RSPO commends Croda’s efforts in moving towards sourcing for physical certified sustainable palm oil.”
“We acknowledge the complexity of the palm oil supply chain, especially when it involves the palm oil and palm kernel derivatives market. Thus, Croda’s initiatives are indeed an affirmative step towards the right direction.”
Croda’s Singapore facility was previously certified in November 2012. The firm also has RSPO audits scheduled for its two North American facilities late in 2013.
