03/08/2013 (AllAfrica.com) - Forum on agricultural biotechnology for the South-South zone of the country has held in Benin with the theme, "Modifying the quality of palm oil through biotechnology."

Speaking at the event, Director General of National Biotechnology Development Agency (NABDA) Professor Bamidele Ogbe Solomon, said the session was aimed at proposing unique intervention towards achieving the president's oil palm transformation value chain. He said the bio safety bill, once in operation will ensure the commercialization and approval of biotechnology products.
